just watched this vid and that is the worst lung I have ever seen made,using a fucking hairband to keep the bag on??,you should be using masking/sellotape and a thinner bag eg..a bread bag.Always put the bag inside the bottle first to make sure it fits and put a strip or sellotape ect around the cut bottom of the bottle to stop the bag ripping on the edge of the bottle..these guys are novices.

The bigger the size of the lung does not mean you get more stoned as it pulls through more oxygen,its all about how much hash/weed ect you put into the gauze and how air tight the lung is to give maximum suction,also how many holes are put into the gauze(tinfoil),a 2 litre bottle is ample.

I admit...the english language is awful over here, but it's not our fault. It's the governments. The education system is failing. Grammar is hardly ever taught any more. In america it is probabally normal to pronounce capillaries like "cappy-lair-ees" but everyone I know pronounces it like "capil-ar-ees". I shouldn't really be taking the mick, but it annoys me what happened to the english language when it crossed the Atlantic. I suppose if it hadn't, we would all be speaking Spanish or German.

And I agree that The Bends as an album is definitely brilliant, but if you haven't heard OK Computer, that gives The Bends a serious run for its money in terms of brilliance. The ending to "Planet Telex" off this album is used to even greater effect in "Karma Police," with a sort of Doppler shift effect, and Subterranean Homesick Alien uses a Roland Space Echo to great effect.

I love the use of the Digitech Whammy pedal in that intro. That's a great example of how what could conceivably be thought of as a flaw is actually turned into a positive. The Whammy doesn't track so well in the upper octaves, so you hear a lot of "warbling" or pitch fluctuation in the intro - it's not a smooth rounded tone. But it actually gives that part of the song more character than if it were a pristine pitch shift. Great song from a fantastic album!
